"I spent 10 days with Rohan in October 2024. I had no idea what to expect and frankly was rather dubious about the trip. I arrived at the Airport, and there was Rohan smiling with my name on his name-board. I immediately felt at ease and instinctively knew that he was a good man. Sometimes, you just know. We toured the island in air conditioned comfort and each day brought a new experience of the wonderful people and culture of Sri-Lanka. They are genuinely lovely people who may not have the material trinkets I have been used to and are all the better for it. My experience of Sri-Lanka had a profound effect on me and I am hugely grateful for the experience. We visited an elephant sanctuary, a turtle rescue and breeding centre, and incredible engineering feats from when the British were there a few hundred years ago. I also went on a mini safari and saw a huge variety of animals — there are too many things to list, it's for you to discover. Rohan could never do enough for me and was a fantastic host and companion over the 10 days. He is incredibly proud of his country and this shows in his enthusiasm which after 18 years doing the same job shows just how much he loves it. His passion for sharing his vast knowledge with others is genuine and infectious. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and in truth, my trip wouldn't have been so magical without him. I have stayed in touch ever since and consider Rohan my friend. If you're adventurous and curious, Rohan will take you on a trip that feeds the brain and nourishes the soul."
